About the project

The Bakehouse Quarter is a diverse commercial and retail precinct situated in the surrounds of the refurbished Arnott’s biscuit factory with cobble stoned streets, leafy parks, retail outlets, restaurants, gyms, childcare, bars and cafes.

 

It incorporates a group of 5 Car Parks:

  • Bakehouse Quarter Car Park
  • ALDI Open Air Car Park
  •  AMF Bowling Car Park
  • IMO Car Wash Car Park
  • Railway St Car Park

 

These provide a total of 929 car parking spaces which are all managed, as a campus, by the TPS. This provides free parking periods, and prevents ‘turnarounds’ and tenant parking for multiple vehicles with car space limits. This is all controlled through a web-based management user interface software package.

It is a car park equipment installation as modern and as practical as the precinct it services.

Ticketless Parking worked collaboratively with Lane Cove Council to deliver the world’s first ticketless and boom-gateless (free-flow) solution. From go-live in late Dec 2018, the system has continued to provide a fast entry and exit and reduced the congestion in our two car parks free-flow car parks. The ability to pay online via the council website has streamlined the exit process and provided an easier and touchless way to pay for parking in Lane Cove visitors
